Day 1

Yesterday was officially day one of classes. It was intense. We talked about so much in class, i was scared i wasn't going to be able to remember it all, but after several hours worth of studying, i definitely felt better. Jessica asked if i had learned any words that don't have direct translations and as it turns out i did! Güle güle means something like go with a smile. So if you are eating dinner with a friend and they have to leave, they would say to you 'hoşçakal' which is your basic good bye and you would say 'güle güle'. I also learned how to count, how to say thank you, your welcome what's your name, my name is... so, yeah. a lot.
